Interior demolition
Demolition of a sheet-metal-clad stove
We demolished a stove with a sheet-metal casing that stood in a room. Before starting, we covered the floor and separated the surrounding surfaces with plastic sheeting.
About the job
What was done?
In the corner of the room, next to a wooden door, stood a black stove with a corrugated sheet-metal casing and cast-iron doors. Before demolition, we covered the floor with construction paper, secured it with tape and separated the walls and passageways with plastic sheeting. We then opened the sheet-metal casing and demolished the brickwork from the top down. We collected the bricks and rubble in bags. An opening was left in the wall where the stove had stood, with brick showing at its edges, and the stove's brick base remained on the floor.
