Interior demolition
Fireplace demolition
We demolished a corner fireplace in a room: we removed the plasterboard casing and lifted out the fireplace insert.
About the job
What was done?
The room had a corner fireplace reaching up to the ceiling, with a casing painted yellow, a wooden mantelpiece and a fireplace insert with a glass door. We removed the plasterboard casing and the mantelpiece and lifted out the fireplace insert. After the demolition, the brick chimney with its flue opening, a foil air duct and the fireplace's concrete base can be seen. The stone-topped bench next to the fireplace was left in place. At the end of the job, we cleaned the work area.
